Its been a bit over a year since I have been up to Shanghai – it is still one of my top cities in China to visit – maybe I’d go there more but the overseas internet just doesn’t work in China!
So I will do all my “Shanghai” catching up in a quick one week trip.
Speaking a Wechat Conference on Cross Border Business
So the reason I picked early September is there is a CHat conference I’ll be hosting a workshop in. I blogged about the workshop on Global From Asia here and you can read about the full CHat event here.
The team at China Channel and Walk The Chat have been doing a great job as thought leaders about Wechat marketing for the English language community and I am glad to be part of their event!
I’ll be hosting the workshop on Friday morning, September 2. The conference is a 2 day event on Thursday Sept 1 and Fri Sept 2 – would be great to see you there!
They also gave me a 10% coupon code to offer you guys – take advantage of it by using ZNZ69X5V for 10% discount on your tickets when buying online.
Also Picking up my Estonia E-residency card
This has been on my todo list for quite some time – picking up my Estonia e-residency card! I applied a few months ago, but Estonia doesn’t have an Embassy in Hong Kong or South China – I had to choose to pick it up in Shanghai or Singapore. So I picked Shanghai.
Card is ready for pickup, so I’ll pick that up early on the week after the CHat conference.
And Of Course Visiting Friends like Chinaccelerator
And since I’m all the way up in Shanghai, may as well stick around for a couple more days and do some meetings.
I want to visit Chinaccelerator again – I’m an alumni from cohort 3! The program has since moved to Shanghai, and they have been doing an amazing job at growing the community and quality of the program since back in 2012 when I went through the program.
Also look to see Ally Mona from Limitless Laowai podcast, other startup friends and media friends.
If you’re in Shanghai – let me know – I will be jam packed with meetings but would love to catch up!
