Integrating Family and Business, Weekend Business Meetings

In blog, business, family friends, vlog by Michael Michelini

Family and business, you know I am a workaholic. Typing this up physically and mentally exhausted from intense creating and building.

To have your own business is a blessing, yet is also a massive pressure. To add on top raising a family – and many of you know the thought process and challenges.

For me, I am trying to integrate the 2 – let the kids see the work and engage with it.

So today’s vlog, is a taste of that.

Was invited to the opening for food of FFC – Fried Fish Club – number 4 – the first location in Chiang Mai ,Thailand, and asked the owner if I could take the kids. He said “sure!” and so I did.

Heading over, we arrived a bit early – again – families are early and cant’ stay late – so we had to take the kids to another restaurant to eat and then I popped back over to FFC later in the evening for drinks and networking.

The fine line of balance. I know other parents who work hard and have business meetings are on that same fine line of balance.

The next day- Sunday, Peter Miller, one of our amazing MCs for the Cross Border Summit, invited me over to his farm – he had wanted my kids to see it – and we can also record a podcast for the upcoming Cross border Summit.

So we did it. We drove up to the farm on Sunday morning, took a nice tour of the various chickens and ducks – and then had a nice lunch and recorded a podcast.

Just thought I’d take you with me – and get some behind the scenes of life of a workaholic with a family.

Are you in similar shoes?
