Well now I feel completely “back” since covid – making a return trip to DCBKK (Dynamite Circle Bangkok) since 2019’s. They had one last year in 2022 but I missed as I was just “recovering” from getting out of China.
As always, the event didn’t disappoint – arriving on Wednesday Oct 18 and intense meetups, workshops, and just informal mastermind group talks all the way until Sunday Oct 22.
This year I hosted a meetup on Thursday Oct 19 about Amazon FBA roller coaster ride of the aggregator insanity from 2019 to 2022. Kept it real (maybe too real from some feedback, heh) on the rawness of being an ecommerce, especially Amazon, seller over the years.
And of course, I was in student mode most of the time, going into sessions about hiring and managing teams, being a “super boss”, acquiring baby boomer businesses, venture studios, financing / fundraising without VC, and just motivational business concepts and stories.
Global From Asia podcast turned 10 years old! It started at dcbkk2013 when Dan Andrews told everyone in the audience to start a podcast, and one being a podcast on Hong Kong business. Amazing that it has been 10 years already, thanks Dan for the inspiration.
I was also one of the only (or the only) “camera vloggers” this year.
