A full week back in China – internet still just not a highlight (let’s keep it at that).
What is the plan this coming week?
* GFA Canton Fair trip – will be fully focused on it Sunday morning until Tuesday evening. Will work on optimizing and standardizing the process.
* Ecomm brands still a bit of restructuring going on.
* Handshake – so many things – marketing committee call 2, halving event, and flamingo handshake auction.
* Fly back to Thailand thursday morning.

Typing this up with non-functional internet – oh the memories of being in China! The brain flow, the dealflow, the connections happening this last week have been hyperactive (as usual). Seeing old contacts from 3 – 4 year ago (pre-covid) and some after 10+ years is quite amazing, and overwhelming.
Meaning – a ton of new opportunities and new solutions to current work is unlocking. May need more time to digest, negotiate, and announce to our team and the greater public – and next week is Canton fair trip (Sunday to Tuesday) – so gotta get through that.
Some highlights from last week:
* Further growing / training / optimizing the Amazon account management department. Christian and Nikko optimizing the documents, workflows, SOPs as we prepare to scale up with the next iteration.
* Canton Fair prep – the final week before Canton fair (post covid) and a Zoom call, lots of invitation letter, badge, mobile sim card, etc sorting out. Hotel confirmations, dinners, didi taxi, etc.
* Handshake marketing committee first call – amazing to see Vetta and others stepping up. We need to keep supporting this and creating a community marketing division. A second call already scheduled for Tuesday night Asia time 8pm Manila/China.
* Cross border Summit – Snook and Wendy visited the Chiang Mai hotel, contract almost confirmed , terms of how many rooms, etc and deposit happening.
* Financials – my weakness, but having Martha standing by our side (as per usual) along with Febby and Claire and others willing to help has been reassuring. Yet still so much to optimize and streamline by far.
Next coming week:
Canton Fair (GFA community) – will be an intense full day all hands on deck for GFA team – me, Sally, Rose will be fielding on the ground chaos with a group of sellers from Singapore and Thailand visiting Canton Fair in guangzhou from Sunday to Tuesday night. With bad/limited/non-existent internet – let’s make the most of this trip and learn how to optimize and grow it for Fall season. Post covid the borders still tricky and the processes need to be defined more.
Also need to finalize Cross Border summit venue and budget.
Ecommerce brands – growing and optimizing the operations, also some very interesting opportunities coming in a totally new angle. Can’t wait to share but terms still being negotiated.
Handshake a few things – Marketing committee call 2, Tuesday 8pm China time (noon gmt+0), handshake halving sometime mid next week, and then end the week with Flamingo Handshake auction (thursday 4pm PST )
