Hi Everyone,

First of all, thanks so much for your donations to Rico’s family. We are so very appreciative of your support during this difficult time. Rico’s Mother and Sister are in Manila now to handle his affairs and will return back home in the next day or two. Over the weekend there was a memorial service held for Rico in the Philippines and in the coming two weeks Rico’s company, Source Find Asia, will be posting some interviews and content in his honor as well.

We have received the results on the autopsy and the official cause of death was pneumonia. Rico was having underlying health issues in excess of six months and had been going to the doctor regularly for stomach problems. For those of us close to him it is still a big shock, and we are working through a lot of unanswered questions. We are keeping this campaign open for another week and a half and will provide all updates possible once we close the campaign out.

Thank you again so much for your support and LOVE.

RIP Kizito “Rico” Ngoma

Still fresh news in my mind and body, but over the last few days been collecting information on the passing of a dear friend and business associate Rico Ngoma.

In late July 2024 he was found deceased in his Manila, Philippines apartment and the autopsy is still underway. His family flew in from Zambia and trying to have the body brought back to Zambia.

Consider Supporting Rico’s GoFundMe

Before I reflect on the amazing memories I have working with Rico, I want to mention currently there is a GoFundMe if you have ever had a good experience with him. He has touched many of us positively and the family would appreciate the proceeds to deal with a proper burial in Zambia.

Support Rico’s Family here

For those of you who are unaware, our dear friend Kizito “Rico” Ngoma passed away last week at his home in Manila, Philippines. This comes as a great shock to all of us as Rico was just 32 years old with a full life in front of him. Rico was such a vibrant and diverse individual who had a gift to make the people around him feel comfortable. As his family and those of us who were close with him are dealing with our grief and emotions, we also have a challenging set of obstacles to work through being that Rico passed in a foreign country.

The family is asking for our help as they travel to the Philippines to manage the process of navigating the death and expatriation process with the Filipino Government and the funeral home in Manila. We would all be extremely grateful for anything you can offer to help them work through this process and get Rico safely back to his family home in Lusaka, Zambia.

Thank you to everyone who loved and appreciated Rico and helped contribute to his one-of-a-kind personality. Stay positive and hug your loved ones.

Coming Soon – Podcast Memoir for Rico, with China Mike and I

Been talking to his business partner, Michael Schierhorn (ChinaMike), and he wants to organize a memorial podcast for Rico. And I will join him for that.

Expect this blog post to update as I get more information – but for now want to get the word out on Rico’s passing and the fundraising campaign for those who are willing and able to support.

Life is precious, let us all appreciate each day. Be kind to one another and enjoy the moment.
