It’s hard to believe we are going into Memorial Day (USA holiday) and summer is kicking off. I remember my mom always talking, after Memorial day you can wear white (think I’m correct on this, ha).
The quick “bullet points”:
- Deeper into blockchain internet – bridging Handshake and Sentinel with an AMA next week on the new hardware router that’s been in the works for months. I’m recovering from a twitter discussion on Brave and Handshake integration.
- Collecting surveys and feedback from GFA’s CBM last May 21. GFA Kids is this week. And, considering a GFA bootcamp. Also still settling out the NFT giveaways from the event.
- Deep with BBG (Berlin Brand Group) on the China expansion to buyout Chinese Amazon sellers.
- Made a tough call to pause the Amazon launch due to extremely high shipping costs. Products are ready to ship from Thailand but sea rates are out of control.
To be honest, I have never felt more in “the zone” with the projects and initiatives. I feel we’re using our team and my strengths and positioning to the max.

Week Plan May 30 – June 5, 2021 Shadstone Limited
I really hope our team can get through this troubling COVID stress and issues. Hoping this week more things can “go back to normal” or a new normal, let’s say. I had shot 1 of the vaccine last Thursday.
We are getting into summer and I have a feeling it will be an action-packed one for the industries we are in. This Monday is a USA holiday, Memorial Day. I remember the camping and beach trips I would take with my friends “back in the day”.
I enjoyed our monthly team call on Wednesday and hope you did too.
A lot of recaps from the CBM event have been posted and I’ve been working on educating our team and community on NFTs. I know some of you are still “scared” of it. But, my goal is that more of us can learn it as I am pretty confident it is the future in one form or another. Collecting survey feedback as well.
Also, some may have seen on the Handshake / Dweb front (SkyInclude division) a couple big things (1) Brave browser debacle. I decided to “stick my neck out” for the community and knew the risks by revealing internal negotiations. Can get into it, but let’s just say it was a crazy shitshow on twitter. And (2) we are deep into the Sentinel/Handshake router project. It was formally announced on Sentinel’s twitter and I will do an AMA with their CEO this coming week.
It is about MAKING a difference and making a truly open internet. This is what the decentralized web is all about. And we gotta take some risks to make it happen.
This Monday is the first GFA kids kickoff orientation (I wish the time was on kids.globalfromasia.com and how to join it). I’ll be doing my session on Tuesday morning.
Still brainstorming if a GFA bootcamp is the right next program for us or not. I’m doing more surveys and collecting information from the team and community.
On the Amazon brand, we have to pause it as the shipping containers from Thailand are 15,000 USD each container and would make the products too expensive. Hope to see how the container and ocean freight calms down in the near future. But the partners had to make this tough call. We need to talk to our influencer team and re-evaluate what to do, now that it is at least 3 or more months away from launch (probably longer).
A bit shorter week plan, I think (hope) the team knows what we are working on and the direction we are going. That is the purpose of these week plans.
To me, the vision is more and more clear. Community is the key – cross border trade/ecommerce with the new expansion into blockchain internet. There are also consulting and joint venture projects to help those people in that space.
