What Mike Michelini is up to Now – Sept 10 – 16, 2023

Back in Chiang Mai after a few days in Kuala Lumpur, and as always after events and travel – tons of ideas and connections to followup on. Mainly in the corporate structure, investing, and growth mindset.
Also tomorrow is 22 years since Sept 11, 2001 and I still remember that day clearly. Watching those twin towers collapse still haunts me in occasional dreams and maybe was a wakeup call in general for me (as a sophomore in college at the time). Read my blog writeup on the experience here https://mikesblog.com/remembering-sept-11-2001/
This week
* More Restructuring – believe Anne has made proposals for at least 1 of our JVs, and hope can make more to clearly outline the relationship of Shadstone and the partner businesses. Also payroll.
* Outside Tuesday – coffee meetings, lunches with developers, ecommerce afternoon meetup 2-4pm, and private dinner with Payoneer and Amazon all in 1 day.
* Connecting Developers in Loadpipe ecosystem – more and more developers building, but need to make ways to ensure all the dapps connect to one another and bridge communication.
* CBS2023 pushing, and the expo CBM is 90% confirmed for nov 15 so things will up a bit more.
For those who want to hear the full week plan for Shadstone Limited, Mike’s company (removing sensitive info) – here it is:
Week Plan Sept 10 – 16, 2023 Venture Seed
Second week for “Venture Seed” (just the “everything” pile) as we further restructure Shadstone and ensure each project Shadstone and its amazing ninjas work on – has a clear arrangement, proposal, contract, and business model together. All the rest will be in this Venture Seed ha.
Seeing Anne and the team pushing hard to streamline things. Excited to see proposals being made for our blogJV partners and communication happening seamlessly. I think as anything in life, the harder part is getting that foundation going – so these first few proposals and invoices will be the hardest.
We are almost halfway through September, that means 2-3 weeks until the massive restructuring will trigger on the Purse deal and the handover. Still discussing with current Purse staff on if they will stay. Coordinating with Andres on all the legal and corporate structure. Talking to more US accountants about how to restructure one the handover is done.
Having calls with Christian about Para Living, and seems we may wait longer still before making the brand holdings and keep things separate. Appreciate Christian and of course all the team sticking with us – and look forward to building up more each of these brands and the team for the Amazon and ecommerce holdings long term.
Last week I was in Kuala Lumpur at the Nomad CApitalist Live event. Got a ton of ideas about our own corporate structure (will write up separately) as well as a ton of contacts – a decent amount of crypto people for devs/investing, and also fixed our GFA IG account (its back!). And of course taking notes and thinking of ideas for Cross Border Summit and seems a few may come there as well.
Just see us as a hidden gem when I look at what we are building and our amazing team. Cannot wait to finish this restructuring into October, and probably the rest of the year. I’m so confident Cross Border Summit 2023 will be one for the records and there will be amazing opportunities for the small 100 people who do show up.
On the Loadpipe side, we are so heavy on development and super weak/non existent on the marketing. But I think this is healthy as we want to have something made before we promote. Yet I wonder who can help with the marketing of this – Shadstone or should we find another company or team?
Those kinds of things are what goes through my mind lately.
Let’s keep sorting out the restructuring and I do wish more people would share input instead of just waiting for me to make a decision.
