Hey everyone, we’re wrapping up the last month of this wild half-decade in the 2020s—can you believe it? November 30 to December 6 felt like a whirlwind of transitions, reflections, and forward momentum. As I always say, the next five years? Exponential growth ahead. But let’s dive in—last week was all about hard decisions, like closing chapters on projects and teams that weren’t aligning. It’s tough letting go, but it’s essential for what’s next.

Key Highlights from the Week
- Hamza.market Winds Down: After much soul-searching, we’re officially winding down Hamza.market in its current form by year’s end. Crypto + e-commerce? It might be too early, or the space is just hyper-focused elsewhere right now. That said, exciting proposals are on the table for a fresh evolution. Stay tuned—I’ll share more as discussions solidify.
- New York Bar Store Check-In: Shouted out to Katrina McKay this week! Sales are steadily rolling in, but we hit a snag with some unexpected Amazon reviews on our pour spouts—folks noticed a material tweak on re-orders. Ouch, those sting, but we’re holding strong at 4.3-4.5 average ratings across the catalog. Katrina’s stepping up big time for the upcoming virtual “Bar Store” experience. Imagine a digital hangout where she (and you!) can engage directly with customers. Can’t wait to build her skills and make this a game-changer in 2026.
- Team Transitions with Janice Jung: Welcoming Janice more fully into the fold—she’s tackling the email avalanche across all my ventures (hundreds daily!). Growing pains are real: API hiccups, webhook glitches, cron jobs acting up. But with our IT crew dialing in the configs for better sorting, assigning, and even auto-replies, she’s already leveling up. It’s intense, but just a couple weeks in? She’s crushing it.
- Global From Asia Vibes Post-Summit: Lisa Yuson jumped in to update on the community. After the Cross Border Summit high, we’re recalibrating—but momentum’s building:
- Ecomm Meetup in Chiang Mai: Tuesday, Dec 2 at Wako Bake—free for GFA VIP members, small fee for others. Experienced sellers only; Mike and the crew are hosting. If you’re local, grab a spot!
- Online Workshop with Colin Raja: Date TBD, but feedback from the summit was on fire.
Reflections & What’s Next
Business is a beast—holding onto everything feels safe, but letting go? That’s where the magic happens. This week reminded me: exponential growth starts with pruning the dead weight. Grateful for the team stepping up amid the chaos. We’ve got virtual bar hangs, community events, and crypto pivots brewing. What’s got you excited for the 2030s kickoff?
