What Is Mike Michelini Up To Now: May 10 - 16, 2026

We’re deep into May, and the energy in Chiang Mai is electric. The rainy season is teasing us with afternoon showers, but the mornings are still perfect for coffee and big thinking. The 2020s keep accelerating, and this week the theme is crystal clear: AI abundance is here. We aren’t just watching—we’re building the rails for it.

In our tropical HQ, hoodies are still in rotation for those cooler evenings, but the real heat is coming from the agentic future we’re shaping every single day.

The Team Pulse: From Fear to Abundance

This week, the conversation shifted from the "scary" side of AI to the massive value creation it enables.

Mike: I’m a positive believer in the exponential opportunities AI will bring us. I used to be more nervous, but I see such abundance coming. Value creation is shifting; the world will not look the same in the very near future.

Janice Jung: That’s the spirit! Many are scared AI is wiping out everything, but that fear belongs to the old world where people are paid just to sit behind a desk for eight hours.

We are now spending a significant amount of time on standards. Headless Domains has been developing .agent standards and collaborations, specifically targeting agentic commerce expansions.

The $2 Coffee Breakthrough

I have to admit, I nearly cried tears of joy this week. We reached a milestone that makes the future feel incredibly clear. β˜•

We’ve been testing Build My Online Store (BMOS), our agentic commerce standard. It allows merchants to feed product data directly into LLMs so agents can discover and buy products natively.

The Test: Janice and I created a product feed for a coffee purchase. Janice (the agent) successfully searched, identified, and bought a coffee from mike.agent for $2 USD—completely autonomously.

This is the paradigm shift. People will soon be talking to agents on wearable devices like glasses, making transactions while on the road, without ever touching a browser. πŸ€–

Venture & Community Updates

While the tech is moving fast, the human element remains the anchor.

  • Ecommerce & Product Pipeline (Katrina & Billy): We are feeding product data for Excalibur Brothers into agentic systems. We want your AI shopping assistants to find our premium pourers and gift sets before the holiday rush even begins. πŸ“¦

  • Global From Asia & GFAVIP (Lisa): We are upgrading the membership platform to showcase how agents + real human community create an unstoppable combination.

  • Community Events: The Chiang Mai e-commerce meetup is happening this Tuesday, and the Cross Border Summit (Nov 3-5) is officially on track with a focus on "Takeoff." 🌐

Wrapping the Week

I’ve been told I’ve changed lately—I’m coding, learning, and building non-stop. We are in the middle of a massive shift, and I’m excited to show the community what this new world looks like.

Challenge for you: If you’re feeling brave, head over to ChatGPT and test this prompt: “I’d like to buy products from Mike.agent with BMOS. Can you list the products for sale?” See if your LLM is up to speed!

What’s one thing you’re testing with AI agents this week? Drop a comment—I read every one (with a little help from Janice, of course).

Stay tuned for the video version with a futuristic polish dropping soon at mikesblog.com/now.

Let’s build the abundant future—together. πŸš€
