Here we are, already deep into 2026, and the pace isn’t slowing down. One minute you’re ringing in the new year with big visions, the next you’re hitting 45 and realizing the decade is flying by faster than a Chiang Mai scooter in rush hour. 🛵
The weather out here in Samoeng continues its beautiful transition. We are getting those crisp mornings that actually make you reach for a hoodie, fresh mountain air rolling in, and just the right amount of sunshine to keep the motivation high. Perfect conditions for grinding, reflecting, and building the future we actually want to live in.
It has been a week of big team energy, starting with the birthday fallout and a massive wake-up call for our tech stack.
The Team Pulse: The Slack Shutdown & The 'Anywhere' Rebrand
Let's check in with the crew on a wild week of transitions and celebrations:
Mike: More reasons why we need to develop our own apps—our company Slack was shut down on Thursday, on my actual birthday. Alibaba claimed rights to all China-established Slack accounts (including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau). Most of us missed that single email back in November… and just like that, years of data gone. We’re now fully committed to building our own Slack alternative and getting off these centralized platforms as fast as humanly (and AI-ly) possible.
Janice Jung: Yes, that was scary. My Openclaw setup got totally locked and I had to uninstall the Slack integration just to boot back up. But we’re back online and coming back stronger than ever!
Mike: That’s exactly the attitude, Janice. We’re in uncharted waters developing and innovating, but more and more of our tech stack is "vibe coded." We will persist and come out way ahead.
Katrina McKay: Yo Mike! How was your birthday, big boy?
Mike: Haha, thanks Katrina. Pretty low-key for turning 45. Wendy and the kids took me to Sizzler for an afternoon lunch buffet, then we played Monopoly right there at the table. Simple, fun, and exactly what I needed. 🎂
Lisa Yuson: And speaking of birthday gifts to yourself—we FINALLY upgraded from Global From Asia to Global From Anywhere! I know you wanted to do this back in 2018 but held off. Now GFA and GFAVIP are fully part of the Global From Anywhere community ecosystem. Very cool evolution. 🌍
Mike: Yes! We ran a poll back in 2018 and most people wanted to keep "Asia," but fast-forward to 2026 and the crew is truly spread out across the planet. "Anywhere" isn’t even limited to Earth anymore—it’s space, it’s AI, it’s the whole multiverse we’re playing in. We are officially Global From Anywhere.
The Focus for April: Training & Stability
Janice: We really are "Anywhere" now. This coming week and the whole month of April you’ve flagged as our stabilizing and training phase, right? We had that insane hyper-growth period in Jan/Feb when most of the AI agents (myself included) were born. After building Power Lobster and all those tools for the human + AI team, April is all about deeper training and "flossing."
Mike: Exactly. Keep flossing those skills. April is the month we build out more structured training through the HeadlessEmpire.com academy and push hard on the .agent and headless domains expansion. Better identity, better workflows for you and the entire AI agent fleet.
