Fortune favors the bold—or perhaps those who get "rekt" and keep pushing forward. My name is Mike Michelini, and I’m thrilled to share my experiences as part of the "Rekt Survivor" group, founded by Mark Koh in Bangkok.
Last week was action-packed with a three-day trip to Bangkok, where the highlight was speaking at the RektSurvivor Web3 event, one of my favorite communities in the space.
Another week of building, learning, and creating with not much travel/networking. Building up for some upcoming networking, but I like weeks of hard, deep work, and then weeks of travel/networking.
Lately, I’ve been embracing a quieter rhythm, as things seem to be running more smoothly. My focus has shifted toward being a dad—my kids are absolutely loving rock climbing (Thanks Larry)!
Bridging some of the connections I’ve made over the years doing all these web3 events across Asia and was a pleasure to help out my friend James, APAC CM lead at Uniswap, to get the first Uniswap meetup here in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Typing up June 2025 already, halfway through the year and time to push through this yearly marathon and finish strong. Had a great time with James and Uniswap here in Chiang Mai at 2 events, making more connections and spreading the word on our Hamza decom marketplace.
The birthday doesn't seem to end! Got a lot of good feedback on the Waterpark birthday party - that was with his friends.
Life is all about preparing for takeoff, and adjusting. Wrapping up a second birthday weekend for my son, having a family getaway in a resort here in the mountains of Thailand.
