Time is flying by! As the summer of 2025 draws to a close, we wanted to squeeze in one last family weekend trip before the kids head back to school.
This time, we visited Pong Kwao Hot Springs.

Located about a two-hour drive from our home in Chiang Mai, we planned a three-day, two-night getaway. Surprisingly, we were the only guests during our stay. The place has an older, somewhat worn-down charm, like a boutique hotel that might have been bustling with visitors in its heyday.
Wendy had visited Pong Kwao Hot Springs a few years ago with the kids and friends, and she knew it would be a relaxing escape. We loved the variety of hot spring options, from private two- to three-person tubs to a larger open-air group area.
I slept well knowing the kids were happy, enjoying both school and life. It’s bittersweet to realize that family trips like this are becoming fewer as the kids grow up. Soon, they’ll be off on their own adventures.
Life moves so fast, we have to cherish every moment.
