You are by far the best boss that I have worked with

Hello Mike,

I know it’s very late, But I want you to know that coming up with the words to say this is not as easy as it seems. I thought about this long and hard. I even had a discussion with Honey Bell. So this decision weighs heavily but I think this would be the best choice. This past few weeks have been rough. I know {name} does not mean any harm and although the way he interacts with me is less than ideal I understand him completely.

{company name} is his creation, I myself would become overprotective of something that I created with my own blood, sweat and tears. I understand how important the customer service role is to a company, and seeing that {staff name} is able to fulfill that role without making any mistake , I cannot see myself fitting in. Which is why it would be best If I left the company.

I have weighed it out and surely you have as well. Any mistake that I make is a huge blow to you and it only adds tension between you and {persons name}. If I left on my own it will surely alleviate the pressure you feel on the customer service department.

I realized that my time in this company has not been too long and these past 8 months working with you has been a blast. I had quite a lot of fun. I’ve seen a few people come and go but I never expected that I would be one of those who will leave the company. Writing this letter is hard but I want you to know that I bear no hard feelings or ill will against you or {persons name}.

You are by far the best boss that I have worked with. And it pains me to leave this company. But I think this is for the best. This is my farewell letter to you, I wrote this to provide closure.

I wish {company name withheld} all the best and for it to become even more successful in the future.
