Summer is wrapping up.

I am trying to give parts of the team some room to rest and reset before the final stretch of the year. Q4 is always intense in ecommerce and logistics, and this year we are also preparing for one of our biggest community moments while continuing to build for a very different internet.

There is a temptation to treat rest as time lost. I see it more as preparation. The next four months will ask a lot from everyone, so a little breathing room now can help us enter the busy season with more energy and better judgment.

Miles Is Learning Through Robots and Real Business

Miles completed his second sumo-bot robot competition this past weekend. The progression from his first competition matters. Robotics teaches a very honest kind of problem solving: the parts either work together or they do not, and every failure gives you something concrete to improve.

We are also slowly getting him involved in the operating side of Snapchum and a playing-card game called Monsnatch that we discovered through relationships formed around our Vietnam trip. This is still a supervised learning project, not a live promise to customers. Miles can learn how products, logistics, marketing, and support fit together, while I keep responsibility for payments, customer data, commercial commitments, and any public claims.

Robotics and entrepreneurship look different, but they teach the same habit: build something small, test it in the real world, learn from what breaks, and keep going.

Fellowship Before the Q4 Rush

The eighth annual Cross Border Summit is coming to Chiang Mai on November 3–5, 2026. This year’s theme is Fellowship.

That theme feels especially relevant now. In a world where software and agents can produce more, faster, the quality of our relationships and the quality of our skills become even more important. The future is not only about what a human can do or what an agent can do. It is about how we form trusted teams, make good decisions, and keep learning together.

Behind the scenes, the team is hardening and polishing the connected apps that support the GFA and Cross Border Summit community. app.crossbordersummit.com is becoming the main attendee experience, helping people navigate the connections, bonuses, perks, and collaboration opportunities around the event. We are already onboarding attendees into a limited-access version and using that early activity to find the rough edges before November.

This activity captures a meaningful transition: the summit is no longer only a website and a few days in a room. It is becoming a connected experience before, during, and after the conference.

Join the Seller Dinner This Thursday

It is a small room for experienced operators to compare practical lessons, build relationships, and talk honestly about what is changing across ecommerce. Those conversations are often where the most useful learning happens.

The Agentic Web Is Starting to Feel Real

I am also spending more time on HeadlessDomains and the wider agentic web.

HeadlessDomains supports names such as .agent, .protocol, and .factory through Handshake, but the larger idea is not just another domain extension. It is an identity layer designed for software agents: machine-readable profiles, permissions, discovery, and payments that fit how agents actually work.

The internet of the future will not look like the internet we use today. More agents will navigate apps, APIs, and services while humans speak to them naturally. Businesses that look separate today may increasingly connect through networks of specialized agents, with humans guiding several products, communities, and operating systems at once.

That is mind-bending, but it reminds me of the internet in the 1990s and early 2000s. The most exciting part was not knowing exactly what it would become. It was knowing the old assumptions would not hold.

I hope we can build that future around open protocols, real ownership, trustworthy relationships, and enough freedom for people and agents to create.
