What Is Mike Michelini Up To Now — August 16–22, 2026
What am I up to this week? I’m back at the studio, hardening our AI-agent systems, moving the Excalibur Brothers Kingdom app through review, helping Miles prepare for the Chiang Mai Robot Games, and bringing experienced ecommerce sellers together in Chiang Mai.
Back at the studio after Bangkok
Last week was another full and intense workweek after the Bangkok business-development trip with Miles. We’ve continued working with early product samples, sharing them privately with a small circle of people close to us and testing them within our own family. Things are getting closer, but we are still firmly in the development and testing stage.
Excalibur Brothers Kingdom is pending review
On Thursday, August 13, we submitted the Excalibur Brothers Kingdom app to both Apple and Google. Both versions are currently pending review.
The app is designed to help people using our skincare products track their routines and progress. It includes daily routine and streak tracking, private progress photos and comparisons, verified Product Proof Passports, direct feedback to the brand, and First Circle early access. You can see the app and its features on the Excalibur Brothers Kingdom page.
Hardening the Headless Empire skills
We’ve also been doing a lot of what I call “hardening” inside the Headless Empire operating system. Empire Dawn, Empire Radar, and Empire Advance are becoming clearer and more useful as we apply them to real work across the companies.
I like the direction, the names, and how the three skills fit together. If you’re curious, you can explore the Headless Empire core skills and their infographics.
Building a sumo bot with Miles
At home, I’ve been working closely with my 12-year-old son Miles on his sumo bot. He is now registered for the Chiang Mai Robot Games at the end of the month. He’s also developing his own agent and using ChiangMaiStudio.com as the hub for the project.
You can follow the project through the Chiang Mai Robot Games post on ChiangMaiStudio.
A more focused ecommerce dinner
This coming Thursday, August 20, we’re holding an Advanced Ecommerce Seller Dinner in Chiang Mai. We are moving toward gatherings that are more intentionally qualified and focused on experienced ecommerce operators.
If that sounds like the right room for you, read the full dinner details and ticket information.
A fundamental change in how work gets done
Honestly, the transition to this AI-agent style of working continues to be intense. We’re making major progress refining the systems, but it is also a fundamental change in how work gets done. It feels like we are learning a new operating model while using it every day.
That is what I’m focused on this week: hardening the systems, getting products closer to the people who will use them, supporting Miles with his robot competition, and continuing to build a stronger community around experienced operators.
Where are you feeling the biggest shift in the way you work with AI agents?
