What Is Mike Michelini Up To Now: July 26 - August 1, 2026

Someone recently commented that I am becoming agentic. I like that description.

I have always loved the movie Lucy with Scarlett Johansson, and it feels like we are accelerating into a world where people, software, and AI agents can work together with much more context and speed.

People often ask me, “Mike, what are some ways we can collaborate?” I appreciate the question, but it normally starts a long process of exchanging context.

Send Your Agent to Mike's Blog Now

If you have an AI agent, send it to now.mikesblog.com—or even better, directly to the Mike's Blog Now agent skill.

Your agent can read a trustworthy rundown of my current Projects, dated Updates, and explicit Opportunities. Your agent already knows what you are working on. It can compare the two and suggest grounded ways we might collaborate without both of us beginning from a blank page.

That is the theory, anyway. Please try it and tell me what your agent discovers.

Advanced Ecommerce Sellers Are Already Building With AI

We hosted an advanced ecommerce seller dinner in Chiang Mai on Thursday. One of my biggest takeaways was that it is not just our team coding with AI for ecommerce. Many experienced sellers are building their own hubs, brains, cockpits, dashboards, and agents.

We published a fuller breakdown of the summer 2026 ecommerce trends and seller insights.

Experienced ecommerce operators discussing AI and business systems in Chiang Mai

As lonely as many of us sometimes feel while building from our home offices, we are not alone.

Software makes remote work possible, and AI makes individual builders more powerful, but neither replaces the need to be social and find like-minded people to connect with.

Rebuilding Cross Border Summit Around AI

That is part of why I am excited about this year's Cross Border Summit. The attendees are building like crazy, and we are rebuilding the format around AI even more deeply than last year. The goal is not to put everyone in a room to listen passively. It is to create a strong environment for experienced cross-border operators to learn, compare systems, and form trusted relationships.

Preparing the Next Excalibur Brothers Supplier Trip

Snook and I are planning another Bangkok trip for the first week of August. We want to go deeper with several suppliers for the developing Excalibur Brothers men's-care line and continue exploring the right products, positioning, and marketing channels.

My Current Initiative List

  • Making my public work agent-readable through Mike's Blog Now.
  • Keeping GFAVIP Chat moving across web, iOS, and Android.
  • Turning the seller-dinner insights into a stronger community and a more AI-native Cross Border Summit.
  • Preparing the Bangkok supplier deep dive for Excalibur Brothers.
  • Using Headless Empire OS as a calm management layer across community, ecommerce, and finance.
  • Keeping the Global From Anywhere podcast workflow moving.

The technology is becoming more agentic, but the fundamentals still matter: trusted information, real products, and good people in the room.

Thanks as always for following along. See you next week.
