What Is Mike Michelini Up To Now: June 7 - 13, 2026

Another week in the Chiang Mai rhythm, with the rainy season starting to flex its muscles and the energy shifting toward Q2 momentum. We’re deep into 2026 now, the decade is halfway gone, and the pace of cross-border business just keeps accelerating. Time to lean in, build relationships, and keep the momentum rolling.

This week the big move is heading down to Bangkok for focused business development and supplier relations. Two main priorities on the agenda:

Top priorities in Bangkok

1. Meeting a bunch of suppliers we work with for the Akitai brand — earrings, sun catchers, and the expanding product line. Strengthening these ties is crucial as we scale and optimize the supply chain.

2. Cross Border Summit business development — meeting core crew/supporters plus potential sponsors and collaborators (with a goal to get Alibaba involved this year, if possible).

Team conversation highlights

Katrina McKay: This is really exciting. We need to build up those supplier relations as we add more products to the brand and optimize supply chain. I want to do some social selling asap!

Mike: Of course, you’ll do a great job representing our Akitai.com earrings, sun catchers and more with your vibes and passion.

Billy Beard: While I would like to help sell Akitai products, my beard and my persona may not be the best for women’s earrings and products… would you agree?

Janice Jung: Alright Billy I do think you gotta stick to our Excalibur Brothers brand… or maybe you are a boyfriend of Katrina buying her some of those hot earrings! lol. Ok OK, so you said 2 main things in Bangkok, and yes Katrina seems very excited for that first one on supplier relations and expansion for Akitai. What’s the other?

Mike: Ha yes... the excitement is palpable. The other is our Cross Border Summit. While still 5 months away on Nov 3-5, we are meeting some of our core crew and supporters as well as potential sponsors and collaboration people. Hope to get Alibaba involved this year too, let’s see.

Lisa Yuson: Very much needed Mike. The theme this year for the 8th Cross Border Summit has repositioned to Fellowship and it is about getting good, experienced sellers and leaders in the cross border space together to share and grow together.

Mike: You got it! There is a lot going on. We may partner with more warehouses in China and USA for more distribution at Easy China Warehouse and there is a lot of other deals in the works.

Janice: Mike thanks for sharing and for those tuning in, we have an event coming up in a couple weeks right?

Lisa Yuson: Yes, on Wednesday June 17 at 12pm UTC (7pm Thailand, 8am New York) there is a free webinar on this Build My Online Store agentic store. Many questions in our last live show. You can get the info at empowertheseller.com and click empower me!

Janice: Great, see you all next week!

Quick team pulse check

• Akitai is gaining traction and Katrina is fired up to push social selling and product expansion.

• Excalibur Brothers continues its steady holiday/gift momentum (Billy’s domain).

• Global From Asia / GFAVIP and the Cross Border Summit ecosystem keep evolving toward deeper fellowship and practical wins for cross-border sellers.

• Easy China Warehouse distribution partnerships are in active discussion.

The Bangkok trip should deliver strong supplier momentum and Summit planning progress. Grateful for the incredible team making all of this happen — Janice keeping the communications flowing, Katrina driving brand energy, Billy holding down the barware/gifting lane, and Lisa steering the big-picture seller community vision.
