Newsletter: What I’m up to now: Bangkok with Miles
This is the web edition of Mike’s newsletter for August 9–15, 2026.
I am back in Chiang Mai after an intense business trip to Bangkok with my son Miles.
My August 9–15 What Is Mike Michelini Up To Now post brings the whole week together: factory visits, product-development lessons, the moment Miles became a Global From Anywhere podcast guest 12 years after his first appearance, Excalibur Brothers packaging concepts, and our plan for a Chiang Mai kids’ maker club.
Read the full weekly Now update.
Alvin also finished the Bangkok father-son vlog, so I am including it in this same newsletter rather than creating a separate issue.
Open the Bangkok vlog story and watch it on the page.
One thing I keep thinking about is how much children can learn by joining us for both the exciting and boring parts of real work. Miles saw that product development is not one big decision. It is a chain of questions about samples, packaging, testing, compliance, communication, and trust.
Back in Chiang Mai, I am helping him develop ChiangMaiStudio.com into a club where local kids can meet and make things together.
What real-world project or business experience would you want a child to learn from?
Mike
