Newsletter: The last office week before the road

This was my last full office week before a long stretch of travel, trade shows, and Cross Border Summit preparation.

I spent much of the week hardening the agentic upgrade for the Cross Border Summit app. We are building on last year's framework so attendees can bring their own agents to help them learn, connect, and follow up during the Summit. It is hard to believe this will be our eighth Summit after starting the journey in 2016.

The week also brought another Amazon verification. One of our accounts was locked for about a day, but thankfully we passed. During Q4, that kind of platform risk feels especially real.

After roughly a year and a half of nonstop building, our apps, agents, and workflows finally feel like they are moving from constant creation into polishing, hardening, and maturing. Now they face a real test on the road.

This week I head to Bangkok for an advanced ecommerce seller dinner, then make my first visit to Cambodia. On Saturday I pick up Miles and fly to Hong Kong before moving into China trade-show season. I am especially excited to take him through Shenzhen's electronics markets and build some gadgets together.

More than twenty years ago, my neighbor Laird told me that life is a book and there are many chapters, both good and bad. That still stays with me.
