Wrapping up the Cross Border Summit 2023 a few high level speakers and guests joined us for a Sunday morning trip to the Elephant sanctuary. Bright and early at 630am we met at the hotel lobby to take a 1 hour drive up into the mountains of Chiang Mai.

Arriving approximately 8am, a welcome speech from the elephant sanctuary manager. There are 5 female elephants on the site for us to feed, hug, and wash. Some fun facts about the difference of Asian elephants and African elephants, but also motivational as this sanctuary is rescuing captured and abused elephants in the region.

Feeding the hungry elephants was first, and this may have been their first meal of the day. Bom Bom would mean they open their mouth wide and you can feed them direct to the mouth.

Walking the elephants to a nearby river and mud spot, we can jump in and get wet and muddy. Washing the elephants, hugging the elephants.

Wrapping up the event we walked to a massive waterfall to enjoy a coffee and IG photo shots.
