Devcon Bangkok Intensity

Devcon Bangkok Intensity

What a year 2024 has been – getting towards the end now and just finished an amazing Devcon – side event edition!

Straight after the Cross Border Mastermind in Phuket, we had a flight right to Bangkok and into the Devcon pre-event insanity.

While the core Devcon event is Nov 12-15, there are pre-events , side events, morning events, afternoon events, evening events, post events, weeks before and a bit after the conference.

Sunday I attended Redacted event, where I got to “see” Edward Snowden live stream from Russia.

Popping in to some other talks, and networking with booths and random attendees – people are there to connect so you can pop up to people and strike a conversation.

My job – bridge web2 ecommerce to web3. Met quite a few companies there who are very supportive of what we are doing at Hamza and Loadpipe and making some integration talks.

Monday morning caught up on work, and then some meetings with Alex about Hamza and business and life.

Evening to an ICP “Tribe” party – epic event full of food, drinks, and people I hadn’t seen in years!

Tuesday more side events – highlight to see Margie who now is no longer at Bitmain but at a Fuzz Land project and had an afternoon tea networking time. More networking there and reconnecting with people who had also joined in.

Just really intense – intense – pulling from so many side events – 700+ in 1 week! True insanity and impossible to find and meet everyone I had wanted.

On top of this, my wife needed me back in Chiang Mai to help watch the kids as she is going to a Buddhist retreat and so I changed my flight earlier.

Just a lot of intense networking – ton more Telegram contacts,
