Taking a Tour of Hua Qiang Bei, Shenzhen, China

When you get a group of amazing people together, exponentially awesome things happen. Since we had the Cross Border Matchmaker coming up, why not organize a tour of the electronics marketplace center of the world – Hua Qiang Bei? And we did just that – some of the attendees and speakers came a bit earlier and we toured the area. Some came in from Hong Kong that morning, as part of our package we had door to door service with a cross-border van.
Working with Henk from TroubleMaker, the festivities started at 10am. Morning was focused more on the speaker sessions with intros of various incubators, marketplace shops, and more. We bumped into Kevin, an American entrepreneur and gaming enthusiast who just opened up his own Hua Qiang Bei shop a week earlier!
Lunch together and then we did some shopping around the area and more networking. A fun dinner to end things up. This was a tour of a great group of people from around the world, hosted by a knowledgeable expert – Henk. I’m excited to get these tours started and look forward to doing more of them in the future.
