Preparing for the Biggest SEO Conference in China, March 30-31

I’m really excited this year will be the 4th time I have gone to the largest SEO conference in China, in the city of Xiamen, China called the GOMX Global Online marketing expo.

In 2009 I first went, and met Gillian Muessig, founder of SEOmoz and featured on Sina tech news for my talk on keyword research. In 2010 had a booth for overseas warehouses and spoke about connecting USA and Chinese internet… in 2011 I got a little risky discussing facebook / twitter (where in China its blocked) and was quoted about saying Sina weibo is better than Twitter!!

The 2012 event is going to be even more focused on the China internet market…and those companies who want to learn about China SEO and China e-commerce should definitely plan on coming. I’ll be hosting a half day event on the afternoon of the 1st day catered for US and EU companies who want to learn how to enter the china internet market!!!

History of TimeV

Questions:

1) in the past it was SMX brand, why no longer?
Timev introduced SMX into China and co-hosted the event in 2006 and 2007, including agenda design and guest invitation, etc. Now Timev is using its own brand and the new event is focused on not only SEO and SEM, but the whole online marketing chain, as well as E-business. And of course, the event is more focused on Chinese marketing.

2) will the chinese events have live translation?
Yes. For the first day it is SI (simultaneous interpretation). For the second day, accompany interpretation will be arranged. So the participants can choose the sub-venue they are interested in.
